To discuss the restoration of used pianos, we at Silverwood Pianos, define the term restoration as “return to original”, meaning that the instrument is completely dismantled. All parts of the piano are returned to their original condition wherever possible, the objective being to return the instrument to the initial splendor, when the piano was purchased and left the showroom. At times, this is not completely possible with every part, and some must be replaced with after market parts, or compatible older parts from other instruments. It is always advisable to have your instrument evaluated by a qualified person, prior to making a decision on any restorative work. To discuss restorative work, please email or call to speak with a technician. |
